UWGB-United hosted their first Back to School event for faculty and staff, where new hires could ask candid questions they may have been hesitant to raise at the official university orientation. Members shared their knowledge regarding having tough conversations in the classroom, why they are a proud union member, and much more!
There was near-universal consensus that virtual learning or a hybrid of in-school and remote learning was chaotic and suboptimal, at best. Some kids had trouble accessing classes online, many others had trouble concentrating on lessons for hours on the computer, while other students simply gave up and basically lost a year of learning. We really don’t want to go back to those bad old days.

It's that time of year again, UNION NIGHT AT CAMDEN YARDS! The Metropolitan Baltimore AFL-CIO has secured the event for Friday, September 10, 2021 at 7:05 p.m., Orioles vs. Toronto Blue Jays. Tickets are priced at $12 each. The proceeds from ticket sales supports the AFL-CIO Community Services of Central Maryland.
