On September 5, 2018, at our first general membership meeting of the 2018-19 academic year, UFAS members voted unanimously to make our union's first political endorsement. On the recommendation of our newly formed Committee on Political Education (COPE), we proudly endorse our fellow UFAS member Ann Groves Lloyd for Wisconsin State Assembly (District 42).

Workers Independent News/89.9 WORTFM interviewed UFAS Vice President Marcus Cederström and UFAS System & State Issues Committee Chair Kyrie Caldwell on August 31, 2018, about the UW System’s proposed operating budget for 2019-21.

August 26, 2018- On Sunday, members from our bargaining units at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center celebrated the work that has been done in the one year since members have decided to form a union and ratified their first contracts.
