The nation — once again — is mourning the senseless deaths of children due to another school shooting, the latest one claiming the lives of 17 students Feb. 14 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla.
Many of our members are responsible gun owners. Some belong to the NRA. Voices across the political spectrum are coming together to say enough is enough.
PROPOSED FEDERAL BUDGET CUTS TO MEDICARE
President Trump sent his proposed 2019 budget to Congress on Monday February 12th. When running for office, he pledged to leave Medicare benefits untouched. However, his budget proposal would reduce Medicare spending by $554 billion over the next 10 years. If you are concerned about the budget proposing huge cuts to the Medicare program, contact our Senators with your concerns and urge them to vote against this budget proposal.

- Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11:30 a.m.
The maximum number of participants for each session is thirty-five {35} potential CUB members.

The City Union of Baltimore invites CUB Members to participate in one of three Baltimore CASH Campaign's Financial Education Classes.
The dates are:
- Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.
- Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.
- Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:30 a.m.
(If requested an early morning weekday class may possibly be added)

BTU Members testify against Guns in Classrooms
Following the tragic shooting in Parkland, Florida at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, communities and legislatures across the country are trying to develop ways to ensure student and teacher safety in the school building. One suggestion brought forth in the Maryland House of Delegates was a bill allowing teachers and educational staff to be armed.

Yes, it's true - free college. OFT members can enroll in Eastern Gateway Community College's online distance-learning program with no costs for tuition, fees or e-texts. Credits earned can be transferred to a four-year college.
