MHFT Scholarships
Every year, MHFT awards modest scholarships to children of current or retired MHFT members. If you are the parent or guardian of a graduating senior who is going on to college in the fall (whether or not the student attends school in our district), please click here to access the file. We will also accept a copy of the common scholarship application. Applications are due in the Federation office by 4pm on April 15.

Five things you can do this week to stop "right to work"
So-called "right to work" legislation meant to attack private sector union workers is being fast-tracked through the Wisconsin Legislature this week. Our sisters and brothers in the private sector stood shoulder to shoulder with us when Scott Walker attacked us in 2011; now it's our turn to show that we remain united. Here are five things you can do to take action:
Alert from NYSUT – Blue Cross Blue Shield Security Breach
Anthem, Inc., the parent organization of Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield and the hospital administrator for the NYSHIP Empire Plan reported an extensive security breach of their members' data. Names, dates of birth, member IDs/Social Security numbers, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and employment information of current and former members were impacted. In the coming weeks, Anthem will send letters to impacted members with an offer of free credit monitoring and identity protection services.
