Personal Leave Bank Donation

Per our current Collective Bargaining Agreement 2013-2016, Article 12.7.1, one of your personal leave days can be contributed to a common donation bank on behalf of other contributing members who have been faced with catastrophic medical issues.  In order to be eligible to receive from this bank, one must have contributed in the year for which the request is made.  Simply complete a leave form indicating your donation of one personal leave day and submit it to the district office no later than October 31st.

MHFT Newsletter -- September 25, 2014

Taste of Morgan Hill

MHFT will have a booth at the Taste of Morgan Hill this Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28 from 9:30-6:30 each day. We will be promoting our schools and supporting our endorsed candidates. We are asking each school to cover one 2-hour shift (which can be divided among several teachers). Please see your building rep to sign up for your site. If all of us do a little, none of us will need to do it all!

AFT members speak out to reverse climate change

AFT-Maryland staffer, Janell Edmonds (below, center), joined hundreds of other AFT members and thousands of trade unionists at the People's Climate March in New York City on Sunday, September 21st. The AFT members wore blue shirts that said, "Climate Justice", and held signs and distributed materials that read "Climate change is real. TEACH SCIENCE."
